Identity Works, Inc. (the “Company”) respects your privacy and wants to inform you about how we collect, use and disclose your personal information that we collect on the website www.idworks.com (the “Site”). This Site is hosted by Identity Works, Inc. (the “Host”).

Collection and Our Use of Information

You are able to visit and use our Site without revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. However, in order to access certain areas, options and services of the Site, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including credit card information. If you choose not to share such information, you may be unable to access certain areas, options and services. Company (and its third party partners, including the Host, who provide services on Company’s behalf) collect personally identifiable information about you only if you voluntarily provide it to us, which is at your sole discretion.

Company may collect some personally identifiable information about you at different times depending which services or portions of the Site you may be utilizing. Besides the information we may request from you, we may also collect information that we can use to improve our service and performance. This information does not identify you personally.

We may use the personally identifiable information we collect about you (either specific or in aggregate) to help us: (a) maintain accurate accounts, (b) provide and change services and billing, (c) answer your inquiries, (d) market services and products, (e) to help make our services and Site useful to you, and (f) for other purposes which are evident from the circumstances or about which we inform you when we collect information from you.

By providing your personally identifiable information to us, you consent to Company’s use of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Company may use the information you enter to contact you by email. Email communications may include information related to specific conditions or topics that interests you.

This Privacy Policy may not apply when you use any public discussion forum, discussion group or web blog such as the user content features hosted on the Site. Company may provide certain public forum options, such as comment areas, chat rooms, online discussion and bulletin boards, as a service to its visitors. Any information shared in any of these areas where users and post or publish content is public information and may be seen or collected by third parties that do not adhere to our Privacy Policy. You should think carefully before disclosing any personally identifiable information you don’t want others to read in any public forum.

Collection and Use of Customer Credit Card Information – Third Party Sharing

If you are paying for Product with a credit card, payment information will be requested to conclude the transaction, as well as your mailing address or other contact information to ensure authentication and proper delivery.  The Site uses industry-standard secure socket layer (SSL) encryption.  When you use your credit card on the Site, your credit card information, including the number and expiration date and your billing and shipping addresses, are passed onto a third party merchant who processes your credit card.  Only the Company and the third party merchant will have authorized access to your credit card information.

Other Sharing of Information

Personally identifiable information may be disclosed to third parties when it is required to complete a transaction, delivery or to provide the services on the Site.  Personally identifiable information about you may be disclosed to a subsequent owner or operator of the Site if the rights and obligations regarding any of your information are assigned at the time of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all assets to a subsequent owner or operator.  You will be deemed to have consented to the disclosure to, and use by, a subsequent owner or operator of such web site, and your continued use of the Site signifies your agreement to be bound by the Privacy Policy of the Sites subsequent owner or operator.

Statistical vs. Personally Identifiable Information

Some non-personally identifiable information is collected and stored automatically when you visit the Site.  The system collects data in the server log that may include:

  • IP address
  • Domain name
  • Type of browser
  • Operating system
  • Pages viewed
  • Search requests

This data may be aggregated and used for statistical purposes.  It also helps to understand how the navigation and content of the Site can be improved.  This information may be disclosed to third parties.

Protection of Children’s Personal Information

The Company does not publish content that is targeted to children.   Do not intend to collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 18 and will not knowingly collect, maintain, or disclose such information.  If you are under 18, you should not enter any personally identifiable information about yourself on the Site.  If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child under the age of 18 has submitted his or her personally identifiable information without your permission or consent, reasonable efforts will be made to remove the information from the database, at your written request.  To request the removal of your child’s information, please send an e-mail to qbs@idworks.net and be sure to include in your message the same information, including e-mail address that your child submitted.

Use of Cookies

We may store cookies on your computer to improve the quality of your visit to our Site.
